London was grey the day we came,
but that doesn’t matter when you’re not there to stay
A day in the park, Marquee after dark,
hanging out and drinking in an old Soho park
We went north to Liverpool to see Strawberry Fields
Sun shining down upon the ground it all seemed so unreal
Riding a train, drinking all day
Thinking that it’s not such a bad game to play
Then eat some cake, and pick up a date,
and you can have some fun as long as you stay awkae
We’re heading down to Amsterdam for four days in the sun
It rained the whole time we we’re there, but that didn’t spoil our fun
Then get a car and you can go far
Just get out of Metz and past and past the boarder guards
The sun reappeared at the “Jet d’ Eau”
Even thought it still was raining everywhere
On a road through Switzerland we got stuck up in the sky
Came back down and took a train ride through the mountain side
The worst part of each day, I’d have to say,
was rolls and butter at the start of each day
And we had zwei bier, on top of the world
Come to think of it we had them everywhere
We woke up half of Venice running down the streets
Slipped and fell in a canal which wasn’t quite so neat
The castle we saw, left us in awe
Then we left for Salzburg and we made it by dawn
And München’s not far when you’ve got a car
The drinking doesn’t stop when you leave the bar
We went out to Europe, and we came back alive
Which seems to be a miricale to some that we survived
And if you get lost, just ask a cop
They’ll be more than glad to take you out to your stop
And then in the end, you go back to bed,
hoping that you wake up again in Doffengën
