Listening to the first two tunes, we wonder why this lo-fi ’60’s-era grunge is being performed by a band whose name means “end of an era.” But listening to a number like, “Moscow Nights,” with its VU-like spoken-word-over-goth-garage accompaniment we figure that we might have been a bit hasty in dismissing the atmospheric genius of this promising ensemble. My pick for Song of the Month (****four stars)
